English Meet 2023

Last May we had the first-ever English Meet at my school (2020 had been planned, but…) and it was great: a low-key, collaborative sharing of ideas about teaching the Leaving Certificate, in lovely surroundings. Read an account of it.

So let’s do it again. This time I’m widening it to all areas of second-level English in Ireland, adding Junior Cycle and Transition Year to Leaving Certificate.

If you have an idea you’d like to share, get in touch. All welcome.

  • 10-15 minutes on an aspect of your teaching you think would be helpful to colleagues in other schools.

  • Wednesday 3rd May, 7.00-9.00 (coffee and tea from 6.30pm).

  • Whispering House, St Columba’s College, Dublin 16 (the venue for researchED Dublin 2019 and 2022).

  • No money changes hands - presenters are volunteers.
